The Top Emerging Travel Destinations for 2016

The number of U.S. citizens travelling abroad is on the rise. According to the National Travel & Tourism Office more than 25 million Americans travelled overseas in the first three quarters of 2015, an increase of 6 percent. U.S. travel to other North American markets is up more than 8 percent over last year. And the U.S. Travel Association is forecasting an increase in domestic leisure travel here at home in 2016.

Whether it’s an epic vacation or a weekend getaway, shouldn’t planning the trip be almost as fun as the trip itself? Gogobot believes the best advice comes from people you trust – people who have the same travel style (Adventure, Family Travelers, etc.) as you – not from anonymous strangers on the Internet. In this interview, Gogobot Getaway Expert Krista Canfield reveals the top destinations for 2016 based on real traveler data. She shares information on places that may be worth a second look, and recommends local getaway hotspots.

More than 10 million people used Gogobot to plan and research places to go in the last year.
